Freya has achieved an incredible milestone in her hairdressing journey, and we couldn’t be prouder to share the news.
Earlier this year, Freya entered the highly competitive Concept Hair Learner of the Year competition, an event that attracts thousands of aspiring stylists from across the country. With over 3,300 entries submitted, the standard was exceptionally high, making her success even more remarkable.
Freya chose to enter the “Hair Up Level 3 – Art Deco Theme” category back in December. Drawing inspiration from the elegance and glamour of the Art Deco era, she designed a unique and intricate hair-up look that showcased both technical skill and creative flair. After submitting her concept, Freya was thrilled to be selected as a finalist, an achievement in itself given the scale of the competition.
The finals took place on the 19th of March at Telford College, where the pressure was on. Each finalist was given just 30 minutes to recreate their design on the day. Working against the clock, Freya demonstrated precision, confidence, and professionalism, bringing her vision to life under intense competition conditions.
Her hard work paid off, and Freya was announced as the winner of her category.
After all the ten category winners were revealed, judges selected one overall winner from the group. In an extraordinary moment, Freya was crowned the overall winner of the entire competition. To stand out among thousands of entries and then go on to take the top title is an outstanding accomplishment and a true testament to her dedication, creativity, and talent. And the photo captured of her win most definitely shows she did not expect it.
As if that wasn’t enough, Freya has also secured a place once again in this year’s prestigious Finishing School. This opportunity will allow her to further refine her skills, learn from industry experts, and continue growing as a stylist – something she is incredibly excited about.
